Photography FAQ

What file type should I shoot in?

I  shoot in JPEG+Raw. The Raw is a huge, uncompressed file that will a. look a lot better, and b. be able to easily edit in Photoshop, Lightroom, or the ilk. So why still get the JPEG? Because sometime you may want to download that photo to your phone on the go or NFC it to someone else, and you can’t do that with RAW. It’s a little annoying to have two copies of every photo you take, but you get used to it. Yeah, you could flip back and forth between JPEG and RAW depending if you’re doing professional shooting or family snap shots, but ain’t nobody got time for that!
