Spring Into Summer: 21 Day Fix

In February I traded my morning nursing sessions for walking the dog in an attempt to get more exercise into my day. Within a few weeks, I had added morning workout videos on my Beachbody on Demand subscription. Then, in March, I decided to challenge myself to follow one workout schedule for the entire month, working out five days a week. The results were a healthy 6.5 pound weight loss in four weeks. Beyond the weight and physical results, however, I felt tremendous and had more energy than I had in years. As a result. I decided to become a Beachbody coach to keep the momentum going and keep myself accountable. So, this April, I’m starting a 4 months plan: 21 Day Fix, A Little Obsessed, and finally 80 Day Obsession.

21 Day Fix

The first part of my Spring into Summer plan is 21 Day Fix. Designed for Beginner to Intermediate fitness levels, I thought it would be a good place to start with to familiarize myself with Autumn’s moves. Unlike the simple power moves I am used to from my CrossFit background or the high energy cardio I had done in March in Turbo Fire, Autumn tends to use slow and controlled moves that combine several muscle groups.

The 21 Day Fix program is a prescribed program that cycles through seven workouts: Total Body Cardio Fix, Upper Fix, Lower Fix or Barre Legs, Pilates Fix or Flat Abs Fix, Cardio Fix, Dirty 30 or Dirty Dozen, and Yoga Fix.  The Beachbody On Demand subscription also includes a Plyo Fix and Cardio Core Remix.
